About Us
How it all started...
Our church began in Bradenton, Florida in 1956. We are part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, and we are deeply committed to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Reformed Confessions known as the Three Forms of Unity (the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort). We are a community devoted to discipling every generation to abide in the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples through the core commitments of the early church in Acts 2:42; the Apostle’s teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
The Breaking of Bread
While this implied fellowship meals in the early Church, we also believe that it included the Lord’s Supper. At our church we practice two sacraments instituted by Christ: The Lord’s Supper and Baptism. We have a covenantal understanding of baptism in that baptism is to be applied to both believers and their children. (Genesis 17:7 and Acts 2:39).
The Prayers
Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches. Apart from Christ, we can do nothing. Our salvation is a work of the Lord, and we believe that he calls us to devote ourselves to prayer. Prayer strengthens our relationship with God, reminds us of our dependence upon him, and is one of the primary weapons against spiritual attack that he has given us as we endure in the faith. Through prayer we praise God and petition him for our needs.

The Apostle's Teaching
We believe all 66 books of the Bible are the inspired and are the authoritative Word of God. We preach and teach them in all of our ministries with an emphasis on how they point to Jesus Christ and His work as our Lord and our Redeemer.
Fellowship
The church is one body, and we are called to love one another, to carry each other’s burdens, and to gather together in worship and fellowship for the building up of Christ’s body. The Church is a family, and all who are baptized into Christ’s true Church are part of his family with us.
