Community Outreach Ministries
These are a few of the local outreach programs our members support through finances, service on boards, or volunteer time. We encourage you to support these fine organizations as you are able with your skills, prayers, and finances.
Women’s Day Retreat, Saturday, March 10; 9:00a-1:30p
We invite women of all ages to join us for a time together with Ruth Vander Zee, author and speaker. Her most recent book is “Woman Meets Jesus.” Ruth powerfully describes Jesus’ love and compassion with women of the New Testament and how their lives were transformed. She invites us to reflect on these women who encountered Jesus during his 3 years of ministry. Jesus offers the same encouragement and healing to us. Let their stories connect with your story. Come, enjoy, bring a neighbor, friend and/or family member who need to know Jesus. Lunch will be served. To sign up contact Barb Leunk.

Family Promise of Manatee County
www.familypromiseofmanateecounty.org Did you know that 12% of all families in the U.S.A. are only 2 paychecks away from becoming homeless? That is, 1 in 9 adults, and 1 in 6 children. The goal of Family Promise is to help families find jobs and a home, and in the process, become self-supporting. Various churches offer to house the homeless families as they take part in the program. To become part of the solution to end homelessness in Manatee County (e.g., provide a meal, drive the van, stay overnight, wash laundry, pray and encourage), please consider volunteering for this ministry.
