Children’s Worship

Children and Worship is a program for children age three through third grade. Led by an adult storyteller and several assistants, every aspect of this time and place is designed to help children learn what it means to worship God together in a way that is meaningful to them. Each week we gather, focus our hearts, light the Christ-candle, read from God’s Word, give thanks, talk and sing to God, enjoy a “feast” together, hear God’s story, prepare to take what we have learned with us, respond to God’s Word, and receive a blessing.  The Children’s Worship time reflects our worship traditions and follows our church calendar.

Sunday Mornings, all year. 9:00a and 11:15a, Children’s Worship Room;  Facilitator:

Church School

“Walk with Me,” is a church school curriculum for preschool through fifth grade. It is designed to help children know, love and serve God; to teach the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation; to help children understand biblical truths; to challenge children and leaders to live their faith; to help families nurture their children’s faith; and to help children value the diversity of people in God’s Kingdom.

GEMS Club for Girls

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting their Savior) is a ministry for girls, grades 1– 8. We encourage growth through friendships, Bible study, and recognition for various milestones. The girls develop their talents, skills, confidence, and character through service projects, craft time, badges and games. This is a fun, active club where girls grow to be young ladies who are mature, caring servants of God.

Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30p, September 14 through May 2, GEMS Club House;

Facilitator: Diane Van Ryn

Cadets for Boys

A ministry for boys, (grades 1 – 8), Cadets trains boys in what it means to live the life required of us as Christians. To do this we have one counselor for every six to seven boys. Our meetings usually consist of a devotional time, a time for earning merit badges by doing projects, and often a time for games. We also have 2 or 3 campouts per year where fathers are encouraged to join in the fun of tent camping, archery, panning for sharks teeth, canoeing, and many other activities.

Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30p, September 14 through May 2, Cadet Club House;

Facilitator: Norm Meekhof
