The Vision of Education
To be a follower of Jesus requires that we know what Jesus desires of us . . . so that the world may know.
We are called to be disciples. We are called to be “light,” to be “salt.” We are called to “go and make disciples.” Therefore, in our Christian context, education is about “disciple-making.” Education is not just about “head” knowledge; it is also about “heart” action. Discipleship is a lifelong process - it is about growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. |
The Goals of Education
- To help each person within the Christian fellowship to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. With God's blessing, each person can then experience God's love in Jesus and learn to walk in faith as Jesus' disciple, increasingly becoming and doing all that Jesus means that person to be and to do.
- To encourage and to challenge each person to use his or her unique gifts, interests and abilities to serve and enrich others within the church and beyond it.
|
|
- To lead people to a public profession of
faith in Jesus and to a way of life consistent with this confession.

A ministry for boys and girls ages 3 through 3 rd grade. The Children's Worship Program provides a special time and place for children to be with God. Children are naturally able to be with God which is the meaning of Worship! Children ages 3 through 3 rd grade worship together with an adult storyteller and helpers during the regular worship service. Every element in the structure of the program and in the set-up of the worship center is purposeful for the child's experience. Yet, individuals have the space and freedom to have their own worship experience. Children begin to understand about being a part of the Body of Christ. The components of our worship time reflect Reformed corporate worship and follow the church calendar. Each worship time we….gather and prepare to be with God, light the Christ candle, share a greeting, read from God's Word, give our thanks to God, talk with God, sing our thanks to God, enjoy a feast together, hear God's story, prepare to go and take the Love of Jesus with us, Respond to God's word, and receive a blessing.
